Enterprise Students

Enterprise Students – from Rangenya, Ndhiwa and Pala (usually six students and two teachers from each), follow the 10 hour packages provided by the NTRC, as well as projects involving business enterprise such as agriculture, ice making and cooking mandazis.  The reports for these projects are also completed at the Centre.  Sibuoche and Mbani primary schools use another hired facility with three computer terminals at Ratanga due to their distance from Ndhiwa.  Seaton Burn College wholly funds and supports the enterprise and Ohala students, and has done since 2003.

Exchange Programme

There are usually two visits to Kenya from Seaton Burn and associated partners, and one exchange of students from the KAP schools to the NE of England per year.  Four students and two teachers from Rangenya School went on exchange to the UK in March 2005.  11 Students and five teachers from Seaton Burn visited Ndhiwa in July 2005.

Funding of small projects

Seaton Burn and other schools are also funding small projects in schools, like making school benches, small improvements to classrooms and providing solar power. These projects are directly paid for by Seaton Burn, without KAP involvement.
