free from disease, with access to quality health care and health
education, and where all children have access to quality education”
KAP mission
statement:
“The
Kenya Acorn Project seeks to reduce the incidence of death and disease,
to promote the health of the population, and to improve the educational
attainment of the pre-and primary school children in the area of Ndhiwa,
by working in partnership with local communities, Government agencies
and other voluntary organisations”.
KAP philosophy:
“Our
philosophy is people-centred. Our belief is to
concentrate on what
matters most to the people
with whom we are partners, respecting their
rights, cultures, values and beliefs, supporting their own efforts,
irrespective of their health status.”
